JCRL – Consultancy Services of Independent Engineer for Construction of New BG Electrified Rail Line from Kathautia to Shivpur (49.085 Km.) under Hazipur Division of East Central Railway

Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

Jharkhand Central Railway Limited (JCRL), a joint venture company of Central Coalfields Limited, IRCON International Limited and Govt. of Jharkhand has been incorporated as a special purpose vehicle to Develop, Finance and Implement the identified project i.e., Shivpur-Kathautia New BG Electrified Rail Line Project (49.085 Km). JCRL is an approved Concessionaire of the Ministry of Railways for construction, operation and maintenance of Shivpur-Kathautia project under the joint venture model of PPP policy of Ministry of Railways. JCRL has appointed M.R. Technofin Consultants as Independent Engineer for Construction of New BG Electrified Rail Line from Kathautia to Shivpur (49.085 Km.) under Hazipur Division of East Central Railway.

Detailed Description of Actual Services Provided : 

• Reviewed the Drawings and Documents as set forth in Concession Agreement;
• Reviewed, inspected and monitored Construction Works as set in the Concession Agreement;
• Conducted tests on completion of construction and submitted test results to the MOR, Chief Engineer/ Independent Surveyor Assessor as set forth in Concession Agreement;
• Determined the costs of any works or services and their reasonableness;
• Determined the period or any extension for performing any duty or obligation;
• Assisted the Parties in resolution of disputes as set forth in Concession Agreement;

Undertook safety audit.
