Structural Engineer
STRUCTURAL DESIGNER
Objective
- The desirable candidate would lead, coordinate and supervise design activities of the company. It will be his/her responsibility to guide the team in arriving at solutions.
- We also prefer a candidate that has a flair for seeking opportunities and willingness to travel in India/abroad.
Qualification and Experience
- Graduate in Civil Engineering with Post Graduation in Structural Engineering
- Minimum 5 years of experience in planning and design.
- Should have worked on structural design assignments such as bridges, culverts, retaining walls, embankments, and workshops including preparation of Drawings and Design Reports
Responsibilities would Typically include (but not be limited to):
- Undertake design and feasibility analyses for the Civil Infrastructure to ensure that all infrastructure components are properly designed and fully meet technical standards.
- Work as a project co-ordinator.
- Prepare drawings, specifications, models and other aspects of Civil Infrastructure.
- Provide evaluations, design service and rehabilitation guidance for Civil Infrastructure
- Interacted and problem solved with local engineers in order to requirements.
- Entrusted with senior-level engineering tasks including calculations, written responses to owners’ concerns and project closeout report.
- Coordinated with clients/ contractors to establish action plans to correct progress deficiencies and maintain schedules for the case of Project Management Work
- Knowledge of National and International codes and standards will be considered as asset.
Knowledge & Skills
- Understanding of government ministries/departments and other stakeholders in the civil infrastructure sectors including their capacity, strengths and weaknesses.
- Excellent leadership, representational, and people management skills.
- Excellent English oral and written communication skills.
- Proven leadership, inter-personal and cross-cultural skills, and ability to build and motivate diverse teams.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.

Knowledge & Skills
- Design, Supply, Erection, Testing & Commissioning of 25 kV and Single Phase, 50 Hz Railway Electrification work.
- Preparation of Designs, which include General Arrangement Drawings, Foundation, Structure, Earthing, Fencing, Cable Trench, Cable Layout, etc.
- Experience in execution of foundation work of equipment of 132/25 KV traction sub-station, switching station foundations after pertaining approval of working drawings from the client

- Solving sudden arising problems from the client or sites.

Technofin Consultants is seeking a Mid-level Business Development (BD) Analyst/ Associate to support the firm’s business development, project coordination and management activities with an initial focus on Indian business development (specific to transport and infrastructure sector) with scope for growth in supporting international management and engineering consultancy mandates related business development.

Responsibilities
Initially, the candidate will work closely with a BD manager to fulfill the following responsibilities. Overtime, the firm expects that the candidate will take on these responsibilities more independently and proactively.
- Regular check on potential consulting opportunities through various tender portals and looking for upcoming project opportunities from public (government institutes/ministries) and private clients and development partners i.e. World bank, Asian Development Bank, African Development Bank etc.
- Under the guidance of the BD manager, prepare the necessary documentation for sole sourced proposal requests as well as competitive tenders (EOIs, Proposals, responses)
- Prepare tender briefs, checklists and other document requirements for responding to REOI/RFQ/RFP/RFIs
- Working closely with the BD manager, prepare technical and commercial proposal, presentations, budget estimates, company profiles, project sheets, expert’s CVs, etc.
- Preparing project description sheets (PDS) and other forms of tender as per the bid requirement.
- Search and look for various potential experts required for projects and bids from time-to-time. Work on CVs of potential experts as and when needed.
- As and when required, coordinate document collection from consortium partners
- Continuously contribute to the firm’s systems and databases. For example, updating HR and Vendor database and make use of it as and when required for BD and project activities.
- Assist and contribute in the business development cycle starting with leveraging the Candidate’s industry network with public and private client to understand upcoming business opportunities in the company’s line of business
- Other activities as may be required to grow the firm’s business including but not limited to helping finding and communicating with vendors, managing and maintaining database of experts & vendors, supporting administrative requirements, etc.
- Assist and grow towards leading the response to REOI/RFQ/RFP/RFIs as well as a variety of other business development initiatives for both Indian and international opportunities
Qualifications and Experience
- Have a minimum 2-5 years of experience in consulting specific to Business Development and coordination activities. Having experience in EOI,proposal, responses preparation and project management is required. Prior experience in transport sector consulting field will be added advantage.
- Holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business or Civil Engineering from a reputable University
- Having a Master’s degree/ MBA will be an advantage.
- Strong communication skills in English (both written and oral)
- Ability to clearly and concisely disseminate complex information in English (both written and oral)
- Have an analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work in cross-functional teams in different time zones
- Proficiency in working on MS tools such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel. High proficiency of working on MS Word (along with proper formatting) is highly desired.
- Prioritize work and manage time to multi-task and efficiently work on proposals to meet the submission deadline
