The Corporate was formerly known as KVK Nilachal Power Private Limited (KNPL) It was engaged in the business of providing power generation services.
M/s Nilachal Power Pvt Limited is a Private Limited intends to set up a 2 x s800MW capacity Ultra Super Critical Thermal Power Plant (TPP) in Cuttack District of Odisha. The project site is located at Kanderai village of Athagarh Tehsil in Cuttack District of Odisha.
The proposed plant is located at a distance of about 3 Kms North from Rajathgarh Railway Station situated between Joranda Road and Kapilas Road Station in Kurdha Road Division, the rail network of East Cost Railway (ECo.Rly).
In line with the Project Proposal, Nilachal Power Private Limited had prepared a Feasibility Study Report for private railway siding to serve for the said TPP in Cuttack district (Odisha.) of M/s NPPL with proposed take-off from Rajathagarh station of Kurdha Road Division ECo . Railway but could not proceed ahead and was on hold for a time being.
Now NPPL intends to award a contract for Re- validation of the same and for the proposed proposal on GCT Policy 2022
