JRIDCL – Consultancy Services for Traffic, Route and Financial Feasibility Study for Rail connectivity of the District Headquarter of Khunti from Ranchi/Hatia in the State of Jharkhand

Detailed Narrative Description of Project:

JRIDCL has a mandate of development, financing, planning, implementation of viable railway projects that are important for critical connectivity/ capacity enhancement, development of other infrastructure facilities, by undertaking surveys, preparation of feasibility studies and detailed project report (DPR) of such railway projects as identified by the Company or by the private parties, to act as technical consultants and advisors in all related matters.

 

Considering the above mandate of JV Company, JRIDCL intends to conduct Traffic, Route and Financial Feasibility Study for Rail connectivity of the District Headquarter of Khunti from Ranchi/Hatia in the State of Jharkhand, in order to assess technical, financial & Socioeconomic viability of the proposed line.

 

District Headquarter of Khunti is not connected with Rail network. Nearest railhead from Khunti is Hatia. The road distance between Ranchi/Hatia to Khunti is approximately 32 Km. Rail Connectivity between Khunti to Chakradharpur has also to be explored. The road distance between Khunti to Chakradharpur is approximately 80 Km. Ranchi /Hatia to Khunti route to be extended upto Chakradharpur to explore probable financial feasibility as this will be an alternative through connectivity to existing Howrah- Mumbai Rail route from Ranchi.
